The official Roblox description for Facecard: Makeup Showdown explicitly lists three cosmetic categories that finish a look on top of the brush makeup: Hairs (various hairstyles), Lashes (eyelash layers) and Rhinestones (embellishment accents). These three categories share the same judging criteria as the brushwork — spatial placement, color harmony, striking visual contrast and precise cosmetic application — so the right pick for each one is whatever scores highest against those four levers on the head base you are working with.
More context
The developer has not published a named catalogue of hair styles, lash styles or rhinestone SKUs at time of writing, so this guide is structured around how to choose from the cosmetic categories the developer ships today, not around specific named items.

Hairs
Hairs set the colour context for the rest of the look. The community listing notes that "top podium finishes unlock rare cosmetic presets for future showdowns," meaning the hairs tied to wins are part of the same roster rather than a separate reward pool.
- Pick for color harmony. Match the hair colour to the head base and brushwork palette. Clean, single-tone hair paired with a high-contrast lash stacks "contrast" as a voting lever; flat, washed-out hair paired with a flat base will not read as striking.
- Pick for striking contrast when the face is muted. When the rest of the look is on the muted side (soft contour, neutral rhinestones), an outer-corner hair accent or a bold colour hair pulls "striking contrast" up. When the rest of the look is already saturated, neutral or single-tone hair keeps the palette coherent.
- Save winning hair templates. Save the hair template you built around the four levers into the in-game lookbook; the Increased Lookbook Slots 2x Game Pass (199 Robux) doubles the slots so multiple winning templates stay alive.
Lashes
- Pick thick or long lash styles when the rest of the look is muted. A bold lash stacks "visual contrast" as a voting lever. Use thicker or longer lash styles on looks where the focal point is not the lashes.
- Pick thinner or natural lashes only when another element is the focal point. When a heavy rhinestone cluster or strong contour is already the focal point, thinner or natural lashes keep the focus where it belongs. Mixing lash style with lash placement (inner-corner / outer-corner accents) is what makes "spatial placement" voting-ready.
- Match lash hue to the palette. Lash colour should harmonise with the hair and rhinestones, not clash with them. Coherent palettes score better than randomly assembled mixes.
Rhinestones (placement and palette)
Rhinestones are the strongest focal-point tool in the cosmetic inventory. Use them sparingly.
- Centralise on a single focal point. Anchor one rhinestone cluster on the cheekbone, brow or lip rather than scattering randomly. Centralised placement scores higher than scattered placement because it is the spatial-placement lever voters score on.
- Match rhinestone hue to the hair and lash palette. Matching rhinestone colour to the hair / lash palette scores higher than clashing hues because it satisfies the color-harmony lever. Pick rhinestone colour after the hair and lash colours are locked in.
- Anchor a single cluster, then stop. Adding a second or third cluster dilutes the focal point and pulls votes away. One strong cluster outranks four weak ones in Showdown voting.
Once you have a hair, lash and rhinestone plan locked against the four levers, the next decision is which head base to build the look on. See the Head Bases guide for how in-game and Discord-exclusive head bases drop and how to pick one that supports a Showdown-winning facecard.
Pulling the three together against the four voting levers
| Cosmetic lever | Hairs | Lashes | Rhinestones |
|---|---|---|---|
Spatial placement | Frame the canvas; do not crowd the face area | Inner / outer-corner accents make placement vote-ready | One cluster anchored on cheekbone, brow or lip |
Color harmony | Match hair to head-base palette | Match lash hue to hair / rhinestones | Match rhinestone hue to hair / lash |
Striking visual contrast | Bold hair on muted face, neutral hair on saturated face | Thick lashes when face is muted; thin when face is the focal point | Centralised cluster reads as contrast; scattered reads as noise |
Precise cosmetic application | Lay hair cleanly before stacking other layers | Align lash stroke with the eye contour | Keep rhinestone edges inside the placement zone |
